Monster Hunter Rise continues to be praised by fans for its streamlined gameplay and new features like Wirebug, which can only be found in this iteration of the franchise. Wirebugs weave and emit threads that can be used to assemble monsters in the game, and can also be used to execute special devastating moves called Silkbind moves. These moves are unique to each weapon and can use the power of Wirebug to unleash devastating attacks on your hunting target.

The new paid DLC for the game, titled Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, includes brand new Silkbind moves for the player to learn. In Sunbreak, players can assign multiple moves to Swap Scrolls, allowing them to use different types of Silkbind moves in a hunt. Capcom recently unveiled a series of videos on Monster Hunter’s official Twitter account that show how these new Silkbind moves in battle work.

You can see the moves assigned to their corresponding weapons below. If you have a main and want to jump in, the weapons are shown in alphabetical order:

Arc

Load sheet

Double leaves

Great Sword

Gunlance

Hammer

Heavy Archer

Hunting horn

Sword of insects

Lance

Light Bow

Long sword

Axis switch

Sword and shield

There is definitely an incentive to take swap scrolls with you on the hunt and learn how to diversify your set of moves with the different Silkbind moves. These new attacks won’t be available to base game players, but it looks like the DLC offers enough content to justify its $ 40 price tag. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be released on Nintendo Switch on June 30, 2022.
