New “Report a Problem” link on product pages – Latest News

The App Store provides a secure, trusted place to discover apps that meet high standards of privacy, security, and content. Since its inception, the App Store has supported a way for users to report issues with their apps and purchases and request refunds. Now the product pages in the App Store for iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and macOS Monterey show a “Report a problem” link, so users can more easily report concerns about the content they’ve purchased or downloaded. This feature is currently available to users in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, and will be extended to other regions over time. In addition, users around the world can now choose between “Report a scam or fraud” and “Report offensive, abusive, or illegal content” to reportaproblem.apple.com and report problems with their applications, including free applications not offered in – App purchases. Apple’s App Review, Discovery Fraud, and Live Moderation and Financial Fraud teams are investigating reported issues for signs of fraud, tampering, abuse, and other violations of the App Store’s review guidelines. with developers to solve problems.

Problematic applications reduce the App Store experience for users and developers, and we’re constantly expanding our techniques to identify even more problematic content to remove. If we suspect that a developer has been involved in intentional manipulation, fraud, or abuse, we will notify you and take action. Consequences may include deleting applications and may affect your membership in the Apple Developer Program, as described in the App Store 5.6 Review Guideline.
