OMNIVISION, Leopard Imaging Collaborate on AI Imaging Solutions | Business
Leopard Imaging, a designer and manufacturer of integrated vision systems, and OMNIVISION, a developer of semiconductor solutions, will work together to launch AI camera solutions for standalone machines that support OMNIVISION’s OA8000 and OAX8000 video camera processors . Leopard Imaging offers full sensor and image signal processor solutions using OMNIVISION’s application-specific integrated circuits OA8000 and OAX8000.
In line with the newly created collaboration, companies will integrate OMNIVISION processors with image sensors into AI systems that include autonomous driving, robotics, IoT and drones. This collaboration includes hardware and software development, image tuning, and customization design and manufacturing services for clients.
The OA8000 is an ultra-low power AI-enabled video processor that supports OMNIVISION’s high-resolution RGB and RGB-IR sensors. The processor is able to learn deep inferences from the edge. The OMNIVISION OAX8000 is designed for the automotive industry. The processor has a dual speed data chip 3 of random access synchronous dynamic memory.
