Pradhan calls for high quality course curriculum that can be delivered through technology
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday called for the development of a high-quality curriculum that can be offered through technology.
He suggested that the technology could also be deployed to conduct an objective assessment.
” Technology should be used to ensure accessible, affordable and quality education for all. There is a need to develop a high-quality curriculum that can be taught through technology, “he said at a meeting to review progress made under the National Forum on Educational Technology (NETF) and the National Digital Educational Architecture (NDEAR).
The NETF will be the governing body of the NDEAR. It will act as a model for creating a unifying national digital infrastructure to energize and catalyze the entire educational ecosystem.
NDEAR takes an “Open Digital Ecosystem” approach, where a set of principles, standards, specifications, building blocks, and guidelines are intended to enable different entities to create elements of the digital education ecosystem.
The minister said the NETF and NDEAR would provide the necessary institutional governance and bring greater responsibility to the system. He said a working group of CBSE, AICTE, UGC, NCTE and NCERT will work on the roadmap for the NDEAR and the NETF.
