• The largest number of MIPIME units (more than 283) will be installed in Meerut, generating about 13,985 job opportunities with an investment of 702 rupees.

• Ayodhya to get about 128 MIME units

• Outstanding projects to be launched at the ceremony include Rs 4,900 and Rs 9,100 data centers of the Adani and Hiranandani groups respectively, along with the Rs 2,100 Rs software development centers.

Lucknow: In a further step to make Uttar Pradesh a major economy and create employment opportunities, projects consisting of more than 865 MIME units worth Rs 3,586 million will be created in the third introductory ceremony to the State. According to the official spokesperson, up to 1,500 projects worth more than 75 billion rupees are expected to be launched at the third initiation ceremony.

Of this, the micro, small and medium enterprise (SME) sector will have a contribution of about Rs 3,586 million. This alone will generate about 48,766 job opportunities in the state. The largest number of MIPIME units will be installed in Meerut, generating some 13,985 employment opportunities with an investment of 702 million rupees.

More than 283 units will be installed in Meerut, followed by Ayodhya with about 128 units with an investment of 915 million rupees. More than 5,991 employment opportunities will be generated through the MIPIMES. Outstanding projects that would take off at the ceremony include Rs 4.9 billion and Rs 9.1 billion data centers of the Adani and Hiranandani groups, respectively, along with the Rs 2.1 billion software development centers.

In addition, work on the 600 million rupee cement manufacturing plant by the Dalmia group in Mirzapur and the Hindustan Unilever Limited detergent plant would also begin. According to the heads of the Industrial Development Department of the UP, of the projects to be launched at the ceremony, the investment worth 21 billion rupees is only for the information technology (IT) and electronics sectors. In addition, many other textile, tourism, energy, food processing and pharmaceutical projects would also be launched.
