Rubrik Security Cloud marks ‘next frontier’ in cybersecurity

Rubrik has announced Rubrik Security Cloud, designed to protect customer data wherever you live, whether in the enterprise, in the cloud or SaaS.

According to the company, the next frontier in cybersecurity combines investments in infrastructure security with data security by giving security to companies from the point of view of data.

Rubrik Security Cloud offers three capabilities:

Data resilience: It protects data by providing immutable and logically secure data protection with multi-factor authentication-based access control.

Data observability: Continuously monitors risks and investigates data threats, including monitoring and ransomware research driven by machine learning to detect data anomalies, encryption, deletion, and modifications; Monitoring sensitive data to find and classify the most sensitive data and assess the risk of leakage; and Monitoring and hunting for threats to identify engagement indicators and find the latest known clean copy of data.

Data recovery: It contains threats and quickly retrieves data, be it a file, application data or a massive recovery for the entire organization. Rubrik’s new threat containment capability quarantines malware and restricts users’ access to infected data to support a more secure recovery.

As organizations continue to struggle with cyberattacks that compromise data, Rubrik also launched the Data Security Command Center to assess whether data is secure and can be recovered from a cyberattack. Now customers can see what data is at risk and get recommendations to make their data more secure, the company says.

Rubrik CEO and co-founder Bipul Sinha says: “All companies in the world are vulnerable as cybercriminals become more expert every day.

“With Rubrik Security Cloud, we are strengthening customer defenses so they can secure their business through enterprise, cloud and SaaS workloads. Our data security platform allows our customers to defend their data, recover quickly and prevail in this new cyber landscape. “

As part of data observability, Sensitive Data Discovery for Microsoft 365 discovers and classifies sensitive data within Microsoft 365 to better assess risk and help maintain compliance, the company says. These latest integrations are based on the joint collaboration between Rubrik and Microsoft.

Last year, the Microsoft Azure-built Rubrik Cloud Vault was launched to help customers better protect themselves from cyberattacks through a fully managed, secure, and isolated cloud-backing service.

Since its launch, Rubrik has stated that the company has experienced high demand for Rubrik Cloud Vault in key industries such as health and life sciences, manufacturing, state and local government, and financial services. customers create Zero Trust solutions to defend themselves and recover from ransomware.

Microsoft Azure Vice President Jurgen Willis says: “Businesses need a data resilience strategy to keep their data secure in the face of escalating cyber threats.

“Rubrik’s security cloud, which is based on integrations with Rubrik Cloud Vault and Microsoft Azure, will help customers accelerate their Zero Trust journey.”
