Scott Logic wins £9 million contract with HM Land Registry


UK software consultant Scott Logic has signed a new two-year deal with the HM Land Registry. The contract will allow the company to assist the central government department with a digital transformation program of its customer service.

The HM Land Registry (HMLR) is responsible for more than £ 7 trillion in land and property ownership in the UK. Although it has a heritage spanning more than 150 years, its main focus is now on the future, as it aims to become the world’s leading property registrar with an open approach to data. To achieve this, it aims, in particular, to improve the automation of citizen-oriented HMLR systems.

To monitor the transformation process, HMLR has selected Scott Logic. The company has a reputation for delivering complex digital transformation. Scott Logic will be responsible for providing a range of software delivery features to complement and expand the authority’s capabilities, covering DevOps architecture, front and back development, testing, and features. The consultancy will also share responsibility for planning and the scope of service delivery.

Work on the project began in early 2022, with a phase of discovery and mobilization. Scott Logic worked with HMLR stakeholders to understand the current landscape of the digital data and technology portfolio (DDaT), while identifying key strategic goals and objectives. As a result, Scott Logic has incorporated a variety of experienced technology teams to work with HMLR in the next delivery phase, focusing on agile key automation delivery and efficiency gains in critical HMLR systems. internal and external.
