SharePlay has been disabled for use in beta 6 for iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and tvOS 15 developers, and will be disabled in the next beta 6 version of macOS Monterey. SharePlay will also be disabled for use in its initial releases this fall. SharePlay will be available for re-use in future developer beta versions and will be released to the public in software updates later this fall.

We’re thrilled with the high level of enthusiasm we’ve seen from the developer community for SharePlay, and we can’t wait to offer it to users so they can experience your apps with their friends and family in a whole new way. .

We appreciate how many teams have worked hard to create SharePlay experiences, and to ensure that there are no interruptions in your development, we’ve provided a SharePlay development profile that will allow you to successfully create and receive group sessions using the API of group activities.

If your computer plans to send an update to your application for the initial launch of these platforms, remove the Group Activities right. We’ll provide guidance when SharePlay is re-enabled in a future developer beta, at which point we encourage you to include GroupActivities right in your code.
